Pastor Samuel Concedes He Didn’t Respond to Me Well During Our Debate

I really didn’t expect this to be made public so quickly by Pastor Samuel, but here’s his comments on the debate amongst his Christian fans and supporters over at the Answering Muslims website:

Blogger Answering Muslims - Post a Comment (2)

Much of what Pastor Samuel has conceded to is the truth. He didn’t answer close to 1/3 of the historical, theological of philosophical issues I presented with the incarnation theology well. I’m happy he made these statements, as it demonstrates quite a factual reality about our debate. As for his points, my responses are:

  1. Whether fast or slow, the quotes were put there and you had well over 10 minutes and then 5 minutes during the rebuttals period to see those quotes and use them against me.
  2. Not sure how you can call them gross exaggerations if according to the first point you didn’t see the quotes and you didn’t know anything about them (hence why you needed to atleast know something about them to answer them correctly) and thus couldn’t answer them correctly.

These are just shoddy excuses to cover the fact that as the Pastor himself admits, and praise be to God he’s stated this, he didn’t respond to even 1/3 of my points during the debate, which led to a frustrating period for him during the cross fire period.

Addressing Two Hater Comments

One hater boasted that my only argument was the quote from Tertullian which says the belief in Christ’s incarnation was absurd and silly. If this Christian is willing to be honest, he’d have to then explain how in his 15 line quasi review he proudly declared I quoted many liberal scholars, James Dunn, James White and Athanasius. Your own words against me, are self contradictory.

This same hater boasted that I misused the fallacy of confirmation bias, to the contrary, as many viewers of the debate have indicated within the Paltalk room itself, my opening statement and argument was spot on, Samuel did not present any historical, philosophical or rational evidences for his position, he merely said this is what my God in the scripture I believe in said, therefore the incarnation is true. I call upon any Christian to demonstrate that Pastor Samuel did not do this.

One other hater, Anthony Rogers (who is known for threatening to rape me, and also known for getting exposed as a copy paster who claimed to research Arabic sources but instead literally stole the works of a Muslim brother who later called him out on it), claimed I was disrespectful and nasty throughout the debate. I do believe their was a moderator present and Pastor Samuel did not once complain to her, to make matters worse, no Christian during the Question and Answer period claimed the same, nor did any of them post comments to that effect. You seem to have taken issue with my quote of Tertullian, yet quoting your founding fathers of your faith doesn’t make me nasty, it makes them nasty. I understand your misdirected anger though, you obviously can’t attack a Church Father, so I guess I’ll take the hate for him. I also recognize that since our debate, you’ve pretty much been unable to stop me from walking over your ego by becoming more popular in the apologetics circles, I mean you’ve been asking people to ignore me, but since then I’ve – been featured by Dr. James White on his Dividing Line program, Dr. James White’s made videos about me, Sam Shamoun’s found himself arguing with me, your own co-workers at Answering Islam and Answering Muslims (Cl Edwards and Samuel Green) have debated me, you were embarrassed by the Bob Siegel saga which I made worse by publicising it and then to your dismay the guy actually put me on his show and gave me an audience in the week gone. Not only that, our website has exploded in views, doubling really and the Muslim Debate Initiative has made me an official speaker.

So I realised you really didn’t like my quoting of Tertullian, so I did you a little favour and reposted it to my Facebook page of 600, 000 + fans, just to piss you off:

The Message - Many Christians live in denial and cannot face the...

So now because of your silly attack on me, 28, 900+ 42, 400+ 51, 000+ Muslims have been exposed to the statements by Tertullian and I promise, the more stupid things you say, I’m merely going to make more people see how absurd the incarnation is.

Again, I’d like to thank the goodly Pastor for his honest concession and for Anthony who gave me the impetus to share Tertullian’s quote to over more than 28, 900+ 42, 400+ 51, 000+ individuals. More to come.

Sam Shamoun’s Minion is as Uneducated as He Is

I’m not sure what I expected, but I’m now beginning to realise why many refer to Sam’s entourage/ group of minions as graduates of clown college. In discussing the age of our Mother ‘Aisha (may Allaah be pleased with her), I demonstrated quite simply that she herself admitted to having been in the state of puberty, i.e. sexual maturation – that is to no longer be a child but to now be a young adult in relation to her marriage with the Prophet (peace be upon him).

I indicated in the hadeeth it literally mentions her reaching puberty:

Narrated ‘Aisha {ra}: (the wife of the Prophet) I had seen my parents following Islam since I attained the age of puberty. Not a day passed but the Prophet visited us, both in the mornings and evenings. My father Abii Bakr thought of building a mosque in the courtyard of his house and he did so. He used to pray and recite the Qur’an in it. The pagan women and their children used to stand by him and look at him with surprise. Abu Bakr was a soft hearted person and could not help weeping while reciting the Quran. The chiefs of the Quraish pagans became afraid of that (i.e. that their children and women might be affected by the recitation of Quran).” – Sahih Bukhari :: Book 1 :: Volume 8 :: Hadith 465.

The hadeeth itself says:

” زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَتْ لَمْ أَعْقِلْ”

That the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him) gathered or attained the age of reasoning, i.e. puberty. Age of reasoning is a euphemism in almost all known languages to refer to a child entering into a state of adulthood/ sexual maturation, the definition is provided here:

The age at which a child is considered capable of acting responsibly.

Under Common Law, seven was the age of reason. Children under the age of seven were conclusively presumed incapable of committing a crime because they did not possess the reasoning ability to understand that their conduct violated the standards of acceptable community behavior. Those between the ages of seven and fourteen were presumed incapable of committing a crime, but this presumption could be overcome by evidence, such as the child having possession of the gun immediately after the shooting. The rebuttable presumption for this age group was based on the assumption that, as the child grew older, he or she learned to differentiate between right and wrong. A child over the age of fourteen was considered to be fully responsible for his or her actions. Many states have modified the age of criminal responsibility by statute.

Unfortunately, the owner of the blog at which Sam is currently frustrating himself over me on, made this comment:

The moral perfection of Christ proves that he is God. A post by Sam Shamoun. Badmanna's Blog (1)

Note, obviously this isn’t what I said, what I did say is that it is commonly known that children are not responsible for their actions until they are baligh or mature, i.e. attained puberty. Thus when puberty occurs, by this time, they can exercise their mental faculties to differentiate between right and wrong, hence why it is also known as the age of reasoning. Apparently, according to this highly educated individual, who has quite funnily, never seen this term before, assumed I was demeaning women. Guess he needs to read a science, law or political book or two. Just goes to show that clowns really do attract each other. Now I’m stuck here wondering why I’m arguing with individuals who can’t comprehend basic terms taught in High School….

Let’s remember for a second that Sam Shamoun is an Iraqi Assyrian immigrant to the USA, whose been writing about Islam for about more than 15 years, I’ve just only began to write about Islam. It must be very embarrassing for him to be experiencing this whooping.

A Message from one of Shamoun’s Fans

Found this message on our Facebook Fan Page (Sam’s been around for 10+ years, I’ve been around for less than 2 and I’ve already got more followers on Facebook than he has, what a shame!).

1 Calling Christians

Let’s examine what a fan of Shamoun presents as a ‘proper’ Christian:

  • Begins a sentence by insulting an individual he does not know.
  • Insults a person’s beliefs because he disagrees.
  • Believes that Sam Shamoun has not, and never will be wrong – deifying him to a great degree!
  • Repeats calling names and insults.
  • Challenges me to debate Sam Shamoun.
  • Calls me names once more.

Hi there Loius! Unlike you or Sam, I don’t need to insult your Prophets or mock your beliefs when I communicate with members of other faiths. I’m not sure where you learned your decorum, but it seems you’ve taken on some of Sam’s attributes and mannerisms. In the adult world, we don’t call people names, we don’t curse or insult their beliefs because we disagree – there is something called respect, something that both irreligious and religious persons abide by.

Secondly, Sam Shamoun will not debate me, he cannot debate me because he is afraid of me. I’ve sent him numerous challenges and he’s always responded by insulting me and ignoring the challenge. So while I’m not afraid to confront Shamoun, he’s very wary and afraid of me. If you don’t believe this, you can ask Shamoun to take an oath by God (see Psalm 63:11) and let him show you the numerous email challenges I’ve sent him. You need to ask why he runs from Muslim challenges, especially my own.

Thirdly, Sam has been refuted by many persons, in fact, he’s been solidly debunked by me many times, I even have an entire section dedicated to responding to him. He is very easy to refute and I’m being quite honest when I say that no educated Muslim takes Sam seriously, in fact, his articles are sometimes used in some circles to teach children just how awfully he misrepresents Islam – if children can learn what Islam isn’t from Sam’s articles, it goes to show you that he is of very little worth.

Lastly, I will gladly take up your challenge, unfortunately, Sam will not endorse it. He will not debate me, because he knows that he cannot, hence why he is unable to respond to any of my articles refuting his writings.

Sam Shamoun Concedes to Being an Uneducated Charlatan

In my last post, I asked Sam Shamoun to defend his claim that Dr. Shabir is a ‘charlatan’, seeing as Dr. Shabir has the requisite academic qualifications in theology, whereas Sam only has a GED (a certificate for those who were unable to graduate or complete High School). How can a man with no academic qualifications in theology, refer to a man with those qualifications as a ‘charlatan’?

Sam did respond, but predictably he indicated that the Muslim Prophet – Muhammad (peace be upon him) was also illiterate. Now, I’m not saying Sam is the sharpest tool in the shed, but:

(a) What does my Prophet (peace be upon him) have to do with your inability to defend your statements?
(b) How is committing the tu quoque fallacy (it generally can be understood to mean: well so do you! or you too!) answering my question?
(c) It follows from (a) that it is a straw man and thus is discarded.
(d) It follows from (b) that he can’t grasp the question I asked since he never responded to it.

So all in all, Sam’s defense for being unable to not declare himself a charlatan is to attack a straw man while using the playground argument of so do you! Come on Sam, you’re a grown man, you have two kids, you’re dealing with adults here – there’s a difference between dealing with kids and dealing with adults. We’re not interested in your playground politics. I kindly ask that you answer my question concerning your statements without rabid ranting by way of name calling and insults. It might be suitable for when you’re dealing with kids, but in the grown up world you’ll have to do much better than that!

What’s interesting is that, I can understand that my Prophet (peace be upon him) was a human, so him not knowing everything is alright, it’s not an insult – even though Sam thinks so. I have no problem is saying my Prophet (peace be upon him) was a human. However, Sam does have a problem as the Bible does teach that God was ignorant, is ignorant:

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. – Matthew 24:36.

While we can agree, a human lacking knowledge is normal, God lacking knowledge is drastically worse, exponentially shameful. Sure Sam can go around saying our Prophet didn’t know everything, that’s okay, because he isn’t God. Yet, he should feel ashamed though to go around claiming his God doesn’t have the knowledge He’s supposed to have – that’s hilarious, an ignorant and unknowing God!

and Allaah knows best.

Sam Shamoun Insults Dr. Ally

Recently, it came to my attention that Sam Shamoun issued these public statements about Dr. Ally:

Sam Shamoun (1)

To quote him, “Ally is nothing more than a charlatan masquerading as a peaceful, loving Muslim apologist“, a charlatan is hereby defined according to Webster’s College Dictionary as, “a person who pretends to special knowledge or skill that he or she does not possess; quack; fraud.” Let’s just do a quick comparison:

Dr. Shabir Ally:

  • B.A. in Religious Studies from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, with a specialization in Biblical Literature.
  •  M.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Quranic Exegesis.
  • Doctorate in Quranic Exegesis from the University of Toronto.

Sam Shamoun:

I’m not sure, but given the comparison of academic qualifications – it would seem that Dr. Shabir is a highly qualified individual with degrees from internationally respected tertiary educational institutions, while Sam has nothing to his name. It would seem therefore, that the charlatan is Sam Shamoun himself. It isn’t surprising to see Sam Shamoun attacking Dr. Shabir, after all, Sam who has no academic qualifications would naturally be jealous of a person who supersedes him significantly. I call upon Sam Shamoun to list his academic qualifications by any accredited tertiary institution to prove that he is not a charlatan and can match the qualifications of Dr. Shabir Ally.

He’s just an angry individual who cannot control his urges to insult others who simply are beyond his level of intelligence.

and God knows best.

Sam Shamoun’s Christian Followers are Mentally Ill

Update: Sent an email to Shamoun about his followers’ behaviour, I don’t expect a response since he condones these actions. If in the off chance he has the testicular fortitude to respond, I’ll gladly make it public – then again, he’s running away from me, so I wouldn’t expect that much.

Last night I had the unfortunate incident of finding myself the focus of attention for a group of Sam Shamoun worshipers on Paltalk, via a room named, “Dawah vs Christian Missionaries“. Traditionally, I don’t expect much from Paltalk Christian Missionaries, but I jumped in to see what all the fuss was about.

sam shamoun

Turns out, it’s a room full of Sam Shamoun supporters who did what their master taught them best. For a period of 10 minutes, I listened as various men and women belonging to the Christian faith, took an opportunity to speak out against me and the writings on this website. I stayed in the off chance that perhaps they’d offer some meaningful criticism, to the contrary I was cursed at by these group of Christian, Sam Shamoun fans by being called repeatedly:

  • Muslim beast.
  • Dumbass.
  • Idiot.
  • Fool.
  • Jackass.
  • Coward.
  • Child.

This unfortunately, is the legacy of the work of Sam Shamoun, his biggest fans on Paltalk (who had just announced a new recording of one of his lectures on the Jewish Saints being saved by Christ), found it appropriate (even the women amongst them) to engage in a tirade filled with abusive language and curse words. As a Muslim, I didn’t respond to them, there is no profit in me cursing anyone or behaving as if I am a petulant child. I think it’s very sad that many consider these missionaries to be representative of the Christian faith and it’s even more sad to know, that after Shamoun has left us, this will be the legacy he’d leave behind: foul mouthed angry zealots.

We pray for their guidance and I wish to let them know, all of them (CBD, Fyreflye, Dr. Chillosophy, etc), I forgive you because I’m a Muslim and I pray that one day you realise what you’re doing is not inviting me to Christianity by shouting and screaming and insulting me, you’re making yourselves look very desperate and unwilling to engage Muslims on an intellectual basis and have reduced your preaching Christianity to nothing more than insulting others to make yourselves feel better/ stroking your own egos.

I apologize to the Muslims who stayed in that room to listen to see what I would have told those missionaries, but I do not respond to threats or curses and I only stayed for those brief minutes in the hope that they would have the decency to realise what they were doing.

Is (Trinitarian) Christianity Monotheistic?

Introduction

Christianity inherits monotheism from the Jewish faith, as Christianity primarily is – Messianic Judaism. Therefore, before we begin our quest in solving the title’s question, we must ask another important question. Is Judaism monotheistic? The answer for our purposes is yes. Both Muslims and Jews can agree on the Shema Yisrael which is found in Deuteronomy 6:4, it reads:

Sh’ma Yis’ra’eil Adonai Eloheinu Adonai echad.
Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.

This is essentially the same as what is presented to us in Surat al Ikhlas (Ch. 112) in the Qur’aan:

Say: He is Allaah the One.

If we are to be honest and if we wish to examine Christianity as the post-Christ Judaic faith of which it presents itself as, then our understanding of monotheism must be based on the Shema Yisrael. The problem therefore is, does Christianity adhere to the Shema Yisrael?

Refutation: How can Jesus be God when he will be in eternal subjection?

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ,

Question:

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:28 that Christ will be subject to God forever:

When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

In light of this eternal subjection how can any Christian believe that Jesus is God?
