Recently, it came to my attention that Sam Shamoun issued these public statements about Dr. Ally:

To quote him, “Ally is nothing more than a charlatan masquerading as a peaceful, loving Muslim apologist“, a charlatan is hereby defined according to Webster’s College Dictionary as, “a person who pretends to special knowledge or skill that he or she does not possess; quack; fraud.” Let’s just do a quick comparison:

Dr. Shabir Ally:

• B.A. in Religious Studies from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, with a specialization in Biblical Literature.
•  M.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Quranic Exegesis.
• Doctorate in Quranic Exegesis from the University of Toronto.

Sam Shamoun:

• Has a blog.
• He’s an immigrant who is against migrants.

I’m not sure, but given the comparison of academic qualifications – it would seem that Dr. Shabir is a highly qualified individual with degrees from internationally respected tertiary educational institutions, while Sam has nothing to his name. It would seem therefore, that the charlatan is Sam Shamoun himself. It isn’t surprising to see Sam Shamoun attacking Dr. Shabir, after all, Sam who has no academic qualifications would naturally be jealous of a person who supersedes him significantly. I call upon Sam Shamoun to list his academic qualifications by any accredited tertiary institution to prove that he is not a charlatan and can match the qualifications of Dr. Shabir Ally.

He’s just an angry individual who cannot control his urges to insult others who simply are beyond his level of intelligence.
