Pregnant Muslim Woman Attacked for Wearing a Hijab

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ,

Shocking news from Canada today, where news of a violent attack on a pregnant Muslim woman has caused outrage and despair throughout the Muslim minority community. Global News (Canada) had this to report:

Toronto police say a male suspect allegedly hit and harassed a pregnant woman on the street because she was wearing a hijab.

Police allege a jogger went out of his way to strike the woman in two separate incidents during the last month (on Yonge Street near Eglington Avenue) in the city’s midtown area.

Const. Wendy Drummond says police believe the woman was not known by the suspect and was targeted because of her head scarf.

Drummond says the suspect also made remarks to the woman on five other occasions, but she did not comment on what was allegedly said.

Shawn Sable, 43, is charged with two counts of assault and one count of criminal harassment.

Drummond says the nature of the comments allegedly made by the suspect lead investigators to believe other people may also have been targeted.

Tertullian Speaks About Paul’s Apostleship

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ,

Tertullian, a Patristic – Early Church Father/ Founding Christian Church Father, had some interesting words to speak about Paul/ Saul of Tarsus. We’ve already dissected Paul’s claims against Jesus’ view on the law, Paul’s concession of being demon possessed, Saul’s stealing of Roman Proconsul’s name of Paulus  and now we examine what one of the earliest Christian Church Founders have to say on Paul’s claim to be an apostle:

Women’s Freedom of Choice is Misogynistic

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ,

Something isn’t right in the world when women’s choices are seen as misogynistic. Misogyny is an act defined as hatred towards women. Therefore, how can a woman’s choice be an act against her? This is the conundrum I find myself at odds with. During iERA’s debate with Prof. Krauss, the idea of women choosing to sit in a group by themselves was touted as being against women. Such logic truly boggles the mind.

The idea of women choosing to sit together, with other women whom they know and feel safe with, is apparently so shocking and out of this world, that it’s practically impossible for them to conceive such a thing. Yet that’s not the case. A group of anti-Muslim thugs, supporters of the incest supporting Prof. Krauss, chose to occupy seats where women chose to sit, as opposed to sitting where women who had no qualms with sitting with men were located.

I’m not sure if these atheists truly understood their argument about segregation, that they truly believe that women cannot choose to sit by themselves, without having a male squished directly next to them. This is the purest sense of misogyny. I think that these thugs need to ask themselves a very important question. Is it misogyny for a woman to choose where to sit, or for you males to tell women where they can’t sit and that they can’t sit together?

A Critical Study of Isaiah 53

Isaiah 53 is considered almost universally by Christians as a prophecy concerning the crucifixion of Jesus. They base their claim on verses applied to Jesus in the New Testament such as Matthew 8:17 that are taken from Isaiah 53. In this article we shall explore the chapter as analytically as possible and see whether the Christian claim has weight or not.

The context of Isaiah 53 actually begins in verse 13 in chapter 52. Superficially, some of the verses do seem applicable for Jesus, but, does the entire passage agree with the Jesus that is portrayed in the so called gospels? If the prophecy is really about Jesus then it surely follows that there should be no contradiction at all between the contents of Isaiah 53 with the life of Jesus according to the so called gospels[1]. For example, let us say we have a prophecy from Nostradamus that may at a glance seem to be about Ibn Anwar. So in the prophecy Nostradamus says,”that there shall arise a person in 2008 and 2009 who will debate with Christians a lot on the internet. He will be 50 years old and he will have many friends who will support him in his endeavours.” All right, so we’re in 2009. Everything Nostradamus mentions in his prophecy is true to the letter except for one thing, that is, my age. I am not 50 years old. Can any reasonable person say that the prophecy is truly about Ibn Anwar? The answer is obviously NO. Likewise, if there is even a single verse in Isaiah 53 that is incompatible with Jesus then the whole argument falters. Everything has to correlate with Jesus. With that said let us not waste any time and begin with verse 13.

Bookish Ignorance

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ,

While reading Mortimer Adler’s, “How to Read a Book”, I came across a paragraph that struck me as nothing short of pure brilliance.

cc-2013-bookish

The one person who immediately came to my mind was James White of Alpha and Omega Ministries. In as much as he tries to appear to be well read, his ignorance of Islamic theology, scripture and study is quite apparent to the most basically of educated Muslims. It’s ironic because in his videos he stands in front of what appears to be a library of books. The same can be said for the AI and AM teams. What I’ve taken from this book and especially this quote is despite people owning books and having read them, it does not make this person educated and surely in the cases of the men and groups I’ve mentioned previously, this is surely the reality of their situation(s).

“Paedophiles are not criminals” says Catholic cardinal

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ,

In a shocking revelation, a Cardinal who earlier this week elected Pope Francis to the Papacy has indicated that not all Paedophiles are in fact…..criminals or responsible for their actions. The problem here is while it is understandable that some persons who are abused as children do go on to repeat these horrendous acts, shouldn’t the Church instead of justifying these acts by pinning them on psychological illnesses, not reform the Churches by not allowing psychologically ill Catholics to assume ordained positions?

“The shocking and controversial comments have caused uproar and will bring an unwelcome spotlight back to the Catholic Church’s vast history of child sexual abuse and child rape during a week when the curia had hoped for some respite from the ongoing stream of scandal. The elevation of Pope Francis, and revelations about his past, may have drawn our attention for a little while but thanks to Cardinal Napier the eyes of the world are once again squarely on his church’s repellant attitude towards child abuse and child abusers.

“What do you do with disorders?” asked Cardinal Napier.

“You have got to try and put them right. If I as a normal being choose to break the law knowing that I am breaking the law, then I think I need to be punished (but) from my experience paedophilia is actually an illness, it is not a criminal condition.”
