Elder of 7th Day Adventist Church, Principal on 14 Sexual Assault Charges

For what is the second time in the space of one year, my home country, the beautiful twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is facing a scourge of sexual deviancy by the Seventh Day Adventist Church’s most senior members. On the 23rd of July 2013, Pastor Marlon Holder of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Tobago was brought to court, facing charges of 6 accounts of sexual assault. More information is provided on the Pastor (now former Pastor) of the Church’s charges via the Trinidad newspaper – the Trinidad Express.

The crisis has worsened when on February 10th (2014), school Principal and Senior Elder of the 7th Day Adventist Church – David Smith was charged with 14 accounts of sexual assault. The Trinidad Express reports:

Fifty-two-year-old father of five, David Smith, has been placed on $400,000 bail with surety clerk of the peace approval. The former principal of a primary school in Tobago appeared in the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court yesterday on 14 sexual offence charges.

Smith was not called upon to plead as the charges were indictable.  The 14 sex charges were a combination of indecent assault and serious indecency, which occurred between 2012 and 2013.  The incidents allegedly occurred on the school compound.

I ask that the international community pray to help save the children of Trinidad and Tobago from these evil preachers who use their positions within the Christian/ Religious community to commit indecent and morally despicable acts against innocent children.

Samuel Green’s Appeal to Pseudo-Scholarship

Pastor Samuel Green loves talking and writing about the history of the Qur’aan. He often quotes many persons and deems them to be ‘scholars of the Qur’aan’. In this discussion, I had posted a quote from a book I was reading at the time about the pseudopigraphical texts of the New Testament. The goodly Pastor then sought to question my use of Prof. Dale C. Allison as an authority, in like, I asked him to prove his use of a blind Egyptian secularist as a scholar of the Qur’aan, an authority on the Qur’aan. As the photo demonstrates, it’s been 5 months, we’re into a new year and the Pastor still can’t justify his claims:

Samuel Green Responds to my Question

Samuel Green, an Australian preacher who is described by Shamoun as his favourite apologist/ Christianity’s best apologist has responded to a Facebook post of mines. Unfortunately, I don’t think it went well for him, perhaps there are other Christians out there willing to help him? I did want to post this as a Missionary Mishap, but I think this post is a serious question and I don’t wish to denigrate the character of Mr. Green, of whom I enjoy discussing Christianity with.

My question has yet to be answered and I fully believe that Samuel’s exacerbated the issue to a far greater extent that I imagined he would have. Any Christians willing to take the dive and jump into this debacle?

Local Pastor/ Disney Employee Caught Downloading Child Porn at Work

This breaking news brought to you by CF News (US), a local news station:

A former Disney manager and local pastor who is accused of looking at child porn at work bonded out of jail early Thursday morning.

Pastor Cedric Cuthbert bonded out of the Orange County Jail and as a condition of his bond he is to have no contact with minors except for his 8 and 11-year-old sons. Disney officials told deputies about Cuthbert’s alleged activities while he was on the clock. He worked there for the past 7 ½ years. Investigators say he was watching child porn and sending messages to underage girls on You Tube from his work computer.

Disney officials say it didn’t seem like Cuthbert was trying to hide anything because they say he used his own password and login info to access the computers and download the child porn. Investigators also say he looked up the porn on the same computer he used to write his Sunday Sermons.

Cuthbert was a pastor at the Historic St. James AME Church in Sanford for the past three years. Cuthbert was let go from his job at Disney and has since apologized for his actions. He now faces multiple charges.

The fact that he worked at a child centric company and did these acts on the job is really disturbing, not to mention that he’s also a Pastor and may have had contact with children from his own Church.

Brazilian Pastor Arrested for Alleged Rape

A leading evangelical Christian pastor has been arrested in a Rio suburb for the alleged rape of six women, including three minors, police said. Marcos Pereira, who has been head of Brazil’s Assembly of God of the Latter Days church for the past 20 years, was detained late on Tuesday.

“He is accused of raping six women, including three under the age of 18,” police inspector Marcio Mendonca Dugubras on Wednesday. The pastor, who made headlines by practicing collective exorcisms of drug addicts and prisoners whom he later converted in Rio jails in the 1990s, was jailed in a maximum security penitentiary in northern Rio.

Dugubras said that Pereira would tell his victims that they were possessed by the devil and therefore needed to have sex with a “holy” person. The victims, all of them poor, consented, thinking that by doing so they “were ridding themselves” of their sins, Dugubras told reporters.

Police had been investigating the pastor for a year and said he might have raped 20 other women since 1998. One of the victims, a member of Pereira’s church, was said to have been sexually abused from the age of 14 to 22. Police said the pastor was also being probed for alleged involvement in drug trafficking, money laundering and homicide.

Pastor in Court for Illegal Trading and Sale of Protected Animal Species

In my home country of Trinidad and Tobago, there is a lot of treachery among the Christian preaching class. Today’s report brings such treachery to a new low. A Pastor has been arrested for the illegal detention, sale and trade of protected animals:

“A PASTOR yesterday admitted to the court that he was in possession of protected animals at his pet store. Desmond Ramlogan was chastised by the magistrate, who said he should set a better example.

Yesterday, a cage containing four morocoys and three cages, each occupied by two monkeys, were taken into the Third Court. Defence attorney Sunil Seecharan said his client was the father of two teenagers and this was his first offence. He said Ramlogan was the pastor at Redeeming Life Ministries. He asked for leniency for his client.

Prince (the judge) said for financial gain, people have been capturing and selling such animals. “The court cannot condone that. Four morocoys on top of each other…they are not supposed to be living like this. We have to be humane to animals just as we have to be humane to our own species, human beings,” he said. The magistrate said the maximum sentence was $1,000 or three months in prison.

For the possession of the morocoys, Prince fined him $500. In default, he will serve three months in prison. Ramlogan was also ordered to pay $700 for possession of the monkey or will also serve a three-month prison term. The money had to be paid immediately.”

Pastor Claims the Holy Spirit is in his Genitals, Convinces Congregation to Perform Sexual Acts

At Calling Christians, we’ve read some disturbing stuff but this incident takes the cake. 2013 is off to a very sadistic start. Evangelical Pastor Sobrino Valdeci Picanto from Brazil convinced his congregation that the Holy Spirit was in his genitals and the only way to please God and to receive the Holy Spirit was to allow him to ejaculate on the members of his congregation. Referring to his sexual secretions as ‘divine milk from the Holy Spirit‘, eager to please Jesus, many performed sexual acts to ‘receive the divine milk of the Holy Spirit‘.

He had effectively duped his congregation to believe that the Holy Spirit would only come onto the Church members, through his ejaculation of the divine milk. The Spanish News Website, QUE! says the following:

” He convinced us that only God could come into our lives through the mouth and why he was going to do what he did. Often, after worship, Pastor Valdeci arrived to take us to the part of the funds back to the church and asked us to do oral sex on him until the Holy Spirit comes through ejaculation “.

If that’s not horrible, this would make you sick:

“The truth is that this man is now in jail where he said when he was arrested, intends to continue watering with sacred milk to his cellmates.”

This sort of behaviour comes as no surprise as it is a fact that Christianity has always had a fascination with genitalia, specifically male genitalia, as is noted in their vast history. Wonder what David Wood and Sham Shamoun would have to say about this!

Pastor Spreads HIV Amongst Congregation

Shocking news really! A married Pastor of a Full Gospel Baptist Church, Pastor Craig Lamar Davis whose previous girlfriend indicated that she had HIV, then went on to sleep with multiple women. Ending in ‘romps’ at his family home, thus spreading the disease to other female members of his congregation.

Pastor Craig Lamar Davis (pictured) of Atlanta’s Full Gospel Baptist Church was arrested on July 22 for reckless conduct, when police investigators discovered that he has HIV and had allegedly been indulging in unprotected sex with several of his congregation members, reports WVIG.  Now one of his congregation victims have come forward with her story.

hus far, two women have pressed charges against the married preacher. One of the victims,Ronita McAfee, told police officials that she met the pastor on Facebook and began communicating with him.  The online relationship soon progressed into sexual romps at the pastor’s home.  McAfee says a few months in to the affair, Davis revealed that one of his former girlfriends had tested positive for HIV. The seemingly concerned preacher allegedly advised McAfee that the virus would not kill her if she tested positive and even went as far as to suggest some drugs that she could take to avoid infection.
