No War on Christmas

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ,

As a Muslim, I identify with the sentiments of the secular population. Most governments have holidays for Christmas, use state funds to purchase Christmas decorations and host Christmas parties. For us Muslims, we don’t have this luxury for ‘Eid, for our Hindu brothers in humanity, they don’t have this privilege for their religious festivals either. Even Jews don’t get a holiday for Hannukah or Passover. Christmas, or the Celebration of Jesus the Christ is solely a Christian holiday, not a secular holiday such as a Republic Day or Independence Day holiday.

Islam has no qualms with Christians celebrating Christmas, but as a Muslim, I do wish that governments would stop showing favour to one religion’s festivals and celebrate all accordingly.

War on Christmas

wa Allaahu ‘Alam.

  • Hey Ijaz
Why don’t you go live in a Muslim country and stop complaining with your petty things, and to correct you as a civil servant for many years Jews took many Jewish holidays throughout the year.
The Jewish school I used to work at had different types of holidays for their pupils throughout the year.
The Christmas holidays are a part of the British culture if you were to live in Arabia you wouldn’t have to put up with it.
Are you saying when Muslims have the opportunity to have paid leave from work at Christmas and Easter you are going to say no and work?

The little agenda you have to pull apart Christianity is just a waste of time why?

    1. Your Koran says no one can change the words of God, yet you believe mere human beings have the ability to change all the manuscripts in all the different languages to say the same thing and Allah had no power to stop them.

    2. Your koran says the gospel and Torah were given as guidance and light please explain what the scriptures were that were changed and what is the light we need to have from them.

    3. Your Koran says the prophets come from Issac and Jacob nothing about Ishmael name me one other Arab prophet along with the names of the thousands Allah was supposed to have sent into the world.

  • Hey,

Why should I move to a Muslim country? The secular state I live in, is biased towards Christians, I’m hoping to fix that. It’s just as much my country as it is theirs.

In my country, if I am a civil servant, whether Jew or Muslim, I don’t get paid to stay home on my religious holidays as Christians do.

I’m not British, and Christmas is part of Christian culture, Britain is secular. Get with the times.

If I get paid leave for my religious holidays, I would love that even more than being paid to stay home for other religion’s holidays.

    1. As for your little statement on corruption of scripture. Please read my website. We do not believe God’s scripture got corrupted, we believe that people wrote things and then claimed it to be from God. Your study is very weak as it would seem.

    2. Torah and Injil from Allaah, not the Masoretic Text nor the Nestle Alan 28th GNT do we consider to be from God. Don’t confuse the two.

    3. God sent only one Prophet to the Arabs, his name is Muhammad [saws]. Prophets do not only come from Isaac or Jacob. Abraham, his brother, Noah, Adam and many others who were sent worldwide.

Please study Islam before making ignorant statements.
