Response to David Wood’s, “Who killed Muhammad”? – by Bassam Zawadi

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ,

Our favourite court jester/ pseudo academic, David Wood of the Answering Muslims blog has been decimated in a response to him by the erudite da’ee, Br. Bassam Zawadi of the Call to Monotheism website.

In a recent video, the cross dresser David Wood (pictured above) tried to attack Muhammad (peace be upon him) with a flurry of spurious and quite dishonest arguments revolving around the ayat which say:

And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings, We would have seized him by the right hand; Then We would have cut from him the aorta. – 69:44-46.

and the hadith from Saheeh Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 713 & Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 39 where the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

Narrated Ibn Abbas:

‘Umar bin Al-Khattab used to let Ibn Abbas sit beside him, so ‘AbdurRahman bin ‘Auf said to ‘Umar, “We have sons similar to him.” ‘Umar replied, “(I respect him) because of his status that you know.” ‘Umar then asked Ibn ‘Abbas about the meaning of this Holy Verse:– “When comes the help of Allah and the conquest of Mecca . . .” (110.1)

Ibn ‘Abbas replied, “That indicated the death of Allah’s Apostle which Allah informed him of.” ‘Umar said, “I do not understand of it except what you understand.”

Narrated ‘Aisha: The Prophet in his ailment in which he died, used to say, “O ‘Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison.”

If you’re a Muslim who has heard this argument, or if you’re a Christian and have learned this argument from either the cross dressing David Wood or the foul mouthed Sham Shamoun, then I’d strongly advise you read Br. Bassam’s eloquent and informative article on this ‘issue’. Click here to go to Br. Bassam’s article.
